Chicago based Rally LLC has acquired Tenniscores. The company's brands, Tenniscores, Pickleballscores, and Paddlescores, run scheduling, scores, and standings for more than 800 leagues, 500 clubs, and over 1M players. The deal closed July 7 and was announced Oct 14. Terms were not disclosed.
The development team stays. Leagues get the Rally app plus a new Rally Insights analytics product. On paper, nothing about your Tuesday league changes next week.
Why it matters: Consolidation is not just paddle brands anymore. The software running your league now answers to one company. That is good news if Rally invests, and a single point of failure if it does not. The pattern matches the rest of the sport right now: fewer owners, bigger footprints.
Timing told its own story. The deal was announced two days before the World Pickleball Convention opened, where rival CourtReserve had its name over the whole conference as title sponsor. Rally was not on the floor. It did not need to be. It had already made its move.
